On August 19, 2025, Donald Trump posted the following on Truth Social:
I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we're at it, Highly "Inaccurate," Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper, which is faster, and leaves NO DOUBT, at the end of the evening, as to who WON, and who LOST, the Election. We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting. All others gave it up because of the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ENCOUNTERED. WE WILL BEGIN THIS EFFORT, WHICH WILL BE STRONGLY OPPOSED BY THE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY CHEAT AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, by signing an EXECUTIVE ORDER to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections. Remember, the States are merely an "agent" for the Federal Government in counting and tabulating the votes. They must do what the Federal Government, as represented by the President of the United States, tells them, FOR THE GOOD OF OUR COUNTRY, to do. With their HORRIBLE Radical Left policies, like Open Borders, Men Playing in Women's Sports, Transgender and "WOKE" for everyone, and so much more, Democrats are virtually Unelectable without using this completely disproven Mail-In SCAM. ELECTIONS CAN NEVER BE HONEST WITH MAIL IN BALLOTS/VOTING, and everybody, IN PARTICULAR THE DEMOCRATS, KNOWS THIS. Commentary:
Once again, Trump goes off and rants about something that has already been thoroughly researched and debunked.
His post stems from his ongoing, misguided and dangerous belief that the 2020 election was "rigged" and that he was the winner, not Joe Biden. Trump can't let go of this belief because his ego won't let him. For Trump to actually admit that he lost to Biden, albeit by a very slim margin, would be such an incredible blow to his ego that he would probably self-combust into a rotten pile of dust.
Trump has shown time and time again that he will not, and cannot admit to losing at anything. To never lose at anything flies in the face of being a human being. We all lose at something, some of the time. But no, not Trump, because he's somehow "super-human" and above mere mortal men.
In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin told him, "Your election was rigged because you have mail-in voting" (read more about this here). Do you think it's just a coincidence that Trump issued his post shortly thereafter? This little episode shows just how easy it is to manipulate Trump and to throw him into a "tizzy."
Trump's post shows just how far he's willing go to nullify the will of American voters and retain power. And power is what is required by his massive ego.
