Fact-Checking Donald Trump's December 17, 2025 Prime-Time Televised Address

On the evening of December 17, 2025, Donald Trump delivered a prime-time televised address.

Here are links to media sources that fact-checked Trump's speech:

New Nation posted an article entitled "Trump gives a partisan prime-time address insisting the economy is stronger than many voters feel", but the article was written by the Associated Press.

I was unable to find fact-checking articles of Trump's address on any conservative news sources.

One Fox News article entitled "Trump touts bringing country back from 'brink of ruin'" written by Diana Stancy made no mention of Trump's erroneous claims.

Another Fox News article entitled "Trump drops receipts on US savings since Biden's Oval Office exit" written by Emma Colton also made no mention of Trump's erroneous claims.

An article on Breitbart entitled "Trump's Christmas Message Headfake: How the President Tricked Media into Listening to His Wins" written by Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow made no mention of Trump's erroneous claims, instead saying:

He [Trump ] did a bit of a headfake. He shared with certain media members that he was going…to be announcing some sort of interventionist war in Venezuela. … I think that just made all the more people tune in for Trump to tout all the great stuff he's doing.
