In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, former Milwaukee Police Officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown was found not guilty of first-degree reckless homicide in the August 14, 2016 shooting death of Sylville Smith.

The family of Sylville Smith filed a wrongful death lawsuit against against Heaggan-Brown and the City of Milwaukee.
