A lone gunman went on a shooting-spree in Rancho Tehama, California (about 120 miles northwest of Sacramento) killing five people and wounding at least ten.

The shooting took place over seven different crime scenes including Rancho Tehama Elementary school.

The shooter, 44-year-old Kevin Janson Neal, was shot and killed by police.
