During a White House press briefing on Jun 2, 2026, a reporter from a pro-Trump media source asked Dr. Oz whether he had medical advice for people that are experiencing "Trump Derangement Syndrome." Oz responded, saying:
It's disheartening to see people lost in that way, but treating stupid is really hard, and that becomes a real problem.
I am concerned about folks who have focused their entire life energy on dislike of the president.

Oz, appointed by Donald Trump, is the administrator for the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The phrase "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS) is the Trump-era version of "Bush Derangement Syndrome" which was coined by the late political columnist, commentator, and psychiatrist Charles Krauthammer in 2003 when George W. Bush was president.
Commentary:
TDS is not an official disease.
TDS is a label often used by those who support Donald Trump to a) characterize those who don't support Trump as having some kind of mental illness or condition, and b) denigrate, discount, and dismiss views held by people who do not support Trump.
In reality, TDS is just a bogus right-wing narrative. It's much like Trump's ad nauseam narrative and claim that the 2020 election was "rigged."
Trump and his supporters have gone to great lengths to see that narratives like these are repeated over, and over, and over again in the daily news cycle. The objective is to make people believe them.
Dr. Oz, who is just another Trump sycophant, shows us that he is "all in" with Trump by calling people with TDS "stupid" and that treating people with TDS is "really hard."
In case you missed it, in March of last year, five Republican senators from Minnesota (Eric Lucero, Steve Drazkowski, Nathan Wesenberg, Justin Eichorn, and Glenn Gruenhagen) introduced a bill that would add "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as an official medical diagnosis in the state of Minnesota. What does this tell you about the state of mind of Trump's sycophants?
Trump's sycophants are so pathetically self-righteous and self-assured that they will stop at virtually nothing to push their right-wind agenda. They are so far down the Trump "rabbit hole" that they will never see the light of day. They are all beholden to the "God King." They are completely untethered from objective reality.
What's happening in our country is so far beyond sad and pathetic that the only way I can describe it is "B-square F" (beyond, beyond FUBAR).
