Conservative Political Commentator DeAnna Lorraine Suggests "Deep State" Might Have Used "Weather Manipulation Technology" to Strengthen Hurricane Ian

Sep 30, 2022:

This past week, conservative political commentator DeAnna Lorraine suggested that the "Deep State" might have used "weather manipulation technology" to modify and strengthen the power of Hurricane Ian in order to target "red states" and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Lorraine said that the federal government knows "how to manipulate and create big storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, climate change."

Noting that DeSantis is a likely GOP 2024 presidential candidate, Lorraine said:

In this case, possibly Ron DeSantis has been stepping out of line a lot and challenging, fighting the "Deep State."

Lauren Witzke, a far-right political activist who Lorraine was speaking with, agreed that Ian might have been a "weather-manipulated hurricane" adding:

I'm not putting it past the elites to target something like this toward Florida as punishment for getting rid of vaccine mandates or getting rid of child grooming.

On October 2, 2020, I posted an article about Deanna Lorraine entitled "God Does Not Want Us Wearing Masks".

On February 24, 2022, speaking on the Christian Right program "Cross Talk" Witzke said:

Russia is a Christian nationalist nation…. I actually support Putin's right to protect his people and always put his people first, but also, protect our Christian values. I identify more with Putin's Christian values than I do with Joe Biden.

Christian nationalist countries also are a threat to the global regime — like, the Luciferian regime that wants to mash everything together. But Putin takes care of his people. He looks out for his people.

Commentary:

I understand that DeAnna Lorraine is just a tiny "blip" on the greater "infosphere," but I think it's vitally important to call out those among us with voices, like Lorraine, who spew insane and damaging conspiracy theories.

To claim that the federal government has the ability to alter the strength of a hurricane, a tornado, and climate change is just not true.

According to information on the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) website (revised June 1, 2021) federal project STORMFURY, conducted from 1962 through 1983 (employing hurricane cloud seeding with silver iodide to decrease storm intensity) produced "inconclusive" results, noting that a "complete understanding of the physical processes taking place in hurricanes was needed before any additional modification experiments."

The NOAA website also states:

Maybe the time will come when men and women can travel at nearly the speed of light to the stars, and we will then have enough energy for brute-force intervention in hurricane dynamics.Until then, perhaps the best solution is not to try to alter or destroy the tropical cyclones, but just learn to co-exist with them.

If the federal government, or any federal government, had the scientific knowledge to alter climate change, then why isn't that knowledge being employed? The answer, obviously, is that it doesn't exist. The only "knowledge" we have is that reducing carbon emissions will help to slow climate change. That's all we know.

It's obvious that Lorraine and Witzke didn't do their "homework" on this one. Instead, they just let their mouths run rampant with the same old conservative B.S. we hear time and time again. Once again, it's not about objective reality. It's about saying whatever supports your belief system (in this case a conspiracy theory), regardless of the truth.

We live in an age when information goes viral in a matter of minutes. When misinformation is disseminated we all lose, our political discourse suffers, and our democracy is at risk. Irresponsible, far-right commentators like Lorraine and Witzke are two more examples of what's terribly wrong with America.
