On September 7, 2026 Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

Happy Labor Day to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, and Dumocrats who will do anything possible to destroy our Country. These Deranged People, after fighting for 10 years, should finally acknowledge that your Favorite President (ME!), knows how to WIN! They should be exhausted by now but, sadly, they're not. They're going to give it one last shot at ruining America, but we're not going to let that happen. We're going to win the Midterms, BIG, and SAVE AMERICA! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Trump's trash talk about Democrats is nothing new, but his apparent belief that Republicans are going to win "BIG" in the upcoming mid-terms is delusional.

According to Real Clear Politics (RCP), Trump's average approval (all major polls) during his second term shows a constant decline from 48.6 percent on January 20, 2025 to his current approval of 39.7 percent on September 7, 2026. That's a nine percent drop in a year-and-a-half.

RCP average polling for control of Congress shows Democrats at +5.8 percent, and average polling for whether our country is moving in the right direction at only 35.0 percent.

In addition, consider the following:

• Congress failed to pass an extension to expiring enhanced Obamacare subsidies. As a result, Obamacare insurance premiums increased substantially starting January 1, 2026. Read more about Obamacare subsidies here.
• Trump announced his"Great Healthcare Plan" on January 15, 2026, but it's stalled in Congress. Read more about the "Great Healthcare Plan" here and here.
• On July 4, 2025, Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (passed by a simple majority of the Senate using budget reconciliation) which cuts over $1 trillion from health programs (including approximately $120 billion from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
• Gas prices have increased substantially during Trump's second term (a direct result of Trump's war with Iran which began on February 28, 2026). On January 20, 2025, the national average price per gallon was about $3.00. After dropping to about $2.53 on January 1, 2026, it climbed steadily, peaking at about $4.56 in late May. As of September 8, 2026, it's at about $4.15. That's a 38 percent increase since the start of Trump's second term.
• According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, consumer prices have increased over the past year (2.2 percent/Jan, 2.2 percent/Feb, 3.3 percent/Mar, 3.9 percent/Apr, 4.4 percent/May, 3.5 percent/Jun, 3.4 percent/Jul).
• Trump's Iran war is very unpopular (about two-thirds of Americans disapprove).

Perhaps Trump is banking on all of the red-state redistricting that has happened over the past couple of years to help Republicans maintain control of Congress. Maybe he thinks the Supreme Court is going to rule in his favor on the recent DOJ appeal regarding mail-in ballots. Maybe he believes that his upcoming declaration of a "national emergency" (it's going to happen) regarding the 2026 mid-term elections will allow him to manipulate actual vote counts so he can save America from Democrats' "one last shot at ruining America."

Make no mistake, the pending Supreme Court decision on mail-in ballots will have a significant impact on vote counts, but even if the Court sides with Trump, and even considering all of the red-state redistricting, I think that Republicans are going to take a major "hit" in the 2026 mid-terms.

If all of that wasn't enough, Trump showed just how much of an idiot he is by continuing his obsession with renaming things.

On September 6, 2026, Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

Many people suggested changing the name of New Mexico, one of the great vote cheating states of all time, to NEW AMERICA. So much more prestigious and beautiful for the people of that potentially incredible State. Wow, I Love It!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP

On September 7, 2026, Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

Since when is New Mexico "one of the great vote cheating states of all time?"

Posting pictures and an absolutely pathetic video?

Doesn't the president of the United States have something better to do with his time on Labor Day?

Apparently not, and that's the problem.

On August 27, 2026, Trump issued an executive order to change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

On February 9, 2025, Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and he proclaimed that February 9, 2025 will be the "Gulf of America Day."

Trump is SERIOUSLY out of his mind, living in a state of complete delusion. I've said many times before that Trump lives in his own little "bubble of reality." His ongoing behavior keeps showing us time after time that he is completely unfit to be president of the United States and an utter disgrace.
