This is my fourth HWR post documenting the continued and ongoing psychological decline of Donald Trump. Read my first, June 3, 2026 post here, my second, June 25, 2026 post here, and my third, September 8, 2026 post here.
On October 14, 2026 Trump held a political rally in Bullhead City, Arizona. Beyond his typical stream-of-distorted-consciousness B.S., here are several things that stand out from the rally (bold added for emphasis).
First, speaking about the June 22, 2025 bombing of Iran targeting nuclear facilities:
And, you know, somebody leaked, some sleazebag...They ought to go to jail and be shot. For the rest of their life, they should be in jail...But they leaked. Leakers should be -- in my opinion, leakers should be shot. They should be shot. In the old days, we used to shoot leakers, you know, when -- when they leak what time you're going to attack a country...No, leakers should be dealt with very, very strongly. They're real -- to me, they're -- they're the scum of the earth. The leakers are the scum of the earth.
The "leak," according to Trump, was the time the bombing mission (Operation Midnight Hammer) was originally set to begin. According to Trump, because of the "leak" the operation was delayed for two days.
Shooting leakers is something that happens in third-world countries, not the U.S. Jail time is one thing, shooting someone is quite another.
Second, speaking about affordability and the price of oil during Trump's second term:
You know, they look -- whenever I have a news conference, somebody will stand up, say, Mr. President, affordability. I said yeah, that was caused by Biden, who gave us the highest inflation in history, gave us the high -- and, you know, the prices are all coming down. But when this war ends -- it's going to end very soon, by the way, very soon. But when the war ends, the prices are going to -- they should be much lower now because we're getting tremendous amounts of oil in, tremendous amounts of oil. I mean, numbers like you had before the war are coming out of the Strait, and Texas and everybody else. It's called drill, baby, drill. They're drilling like crazy. And I hate to say it because the fake news will report it, that he's gloating. As the average person goes to the pump, he's gloating. Our country is making -- because we're the number one by double.
So -- I never say this because -- and watch, they'll cut all of this stuff out and they'll leave the little sentence that I -- our country is making more money than it's ever made because of the fact that oil is so high. Now, they're going to say isn't it terrible? He talked about the fact that he doesn't care about the little person, they call them. I care more about the little person than I care about the big person. I care about the little person like crazy. But the fact is, because of the price of oil, Texas and Oklahoma and North Dakota and all these places, we're making a fortune.
Note that at a political rally in Georgia on October 24, 2026, Trump said:
But they're gonna be coming [lower oil/gas prices]. No, I could just see the fake headlines. President Trump is talking about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. That'll be the headline. But I said, "I don't give a damn. I'm gonna say it. We're making a freaking fortune." Our country is getting stronger and stronger all the time.
Trump says he cares "more about the little person" than the "big person," but in the very next sentence he says "we're making a fortune." Who is the "we" that Trump is referring to? It's not your average middle-class American, and it's certainly not lower-class Americans, all of whom are paying very high gas prices because of Trump's war with Iran.
The "we" is oil companies, the multi-million dollar executives who run them, and the U.S. government. Trump repeated this at the Georgia rally.
This is Trump taking gaslighting to an entirely new level.
Third, speaking about Arizona and Governor Katie Hobbs:
On election night, Arizona's going to prove that America does not belong to those who hate it. America belongs to those who love, love, love, love love it. And stupid Katie Hobbs, a low IQ individual in my opinion -- that's only my opinion.
Trump's apparent belief that Republicans are going to win the upcoming mid-terms is delusional.
According to Real Clear Politics (RCP), Trump's average approval (all major polls) during his second term shows a constant decline from 48.6 percent on January 20, 2025 to his current approval of 38.5 percent on Pctober 25, 2026. That's a ten percent drop in a year-and-a-half.
Fourth, speaking about the cognitive tests Trump claims he has "aced" in the recent past, comparing himself to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs:
But Katie Hobbs is somebody that could not pass the test...So, I took them every time, and I got them all right. I aced them.
They give you five words and you don't know what they're doing. They say, sir, we're going to give you five words. We would like you to repeat those words, preferably in order. And what they don't say is, at the end of the test a half hour later, they do it again. So, you don't know that. Five words, sir, hat, hair, logo, white, black. Sir, would you please repeat those words? Hat, hair, logo, white, black. Oh, you got it right. Now, you get extra points if you can do them in the same order, right? Now, a half hour goes by. They've asked you 25, 30 other questions. Sir, in the middle of the test, we asked you about five words. Will you please repeat them again, ideally in order?
You will get points if you get them all. You will get points. But if you can report them in order, you get a lot of points. Go hat, hair, logo, white, black, and they go, holy shit, nobody -- [Laughter] No, nobody can do that. When I told the fake news about that, oh, that's so easy. Nobody can do that. Very few people can do that. And very few -- they say very few people can do it, but almost none can do them in order like that, but I can. You know why? Because I'm a freaking genius, that's why.
How does Trump know that Hobbs ever took a cognitive test, let alone know the results?
We all know that Trump's ego is massive, out of control, and makes him say really outrageous things (especially at rallies), but to say you're a "genius" because you can remember the words hat, hair, logo, white, and black during a cognitive test shows us that Trump's mind is rapidly deteriorating. His psychological perception of himself bears no resemblance to objective reality.
On October 22, 2026 Trump posted the following on Truth Social:
Vivek Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Amy Acton, who is running for Governor of Ohio, is a liar, and much worse. The Press, in a concerted and well coordinated attack, is trying to get Vivek Ramaswamy to "take down the Ad." Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about a daughter in that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving in Office, let alone the Office of Governor. If my mother, the legendary Mary MacLeod Trump, said anything bad about me, the Fake News would play it up. The Dumocrats would be totally supportive, and it would go down as the Ad of the Decade — Maybe the Century! It would win Awards for Excellence in Advertising. But, because Vivek, who will be a GREAT Governor, put it out, the "Artificial" News has teamed up against him in order to damage, demean, and embarrass a Republican who is leading in the Polls. Our RINO Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, who I unfortunately helped get elected years ago, when he was losing by 16 points prior to my doing a Rally for him was, as usual, disloyal to the Republican Party. He strongly suggested that Vivek should, "take down the Ad." He probably wants a Dumocrat to win, and certainly doesn't want someone who will do a much better job than he is capable of doing. I suggested, on the other hand, that Vivek should keep it up, and let everyone listen to the mother of a defective, dishonest, and incapable Candidate, explain how the daughter is a DISASTER who, uncontrollably, lies, cheats, and steals! I only wish the mothers of my opponents would be so brave as to come forward and explain that their son or daughter is a liar, and much worse. That took a lot of courage to do but, essentially, what she was really doing was saving Ohio from making a truly horrible choice! The Press is trying to convince everyone that this Ad is bad, because it's so good! Who wouldn't use such an Ad? I would, it's called, "hitting pay dirt." The fact is, Lyin' Amy Acton, who I've never even heard of before, has been lying about Vivek for the entire Campaign. I know the real Vivek, he is a brilliant and outstanding person who will cut Taxes, stop Crime and, MAKE OHIO GREAT AGAIN. He will be a fantastic Governor! President DONALD J. TRUMP
The next day, when asked by reporters if he had changed his mind about his Truth Social post, Trump said:
No, it's a mother speaking badly against Amy Acton. If it were my mother speaking badly about me, you'd be making it the No. 1 story on the news.
A mother is saying, "Don't put my daughter there, because she's a terrible person and she's a liar." Why shouldn't somebody use that?
Yes, the press would be making it the number one story, but only if there wasn't more to the story. The more is that Amy Acton was sexually abused as a child.
Trump said "Why shouldn't somebody use that?"
We all know how callous and unempathetic Trump is, but once again, this one is way, WAY over the top. It's disgusting and despicable beyond words. It shows us that Trump's ability to understand anything of an emotional nature continues to deteriorate. It shows us that Trump's insatiable desire for power and winning continues to expand and grow.
On October 25, 2026 Trump posted the following on Truth Social:
Let's talk about this COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER, Bill Maher. He's got a Low Rated Show on equally Low Rated HBO, which was once, long ago, a Network of Quality and Excitement — But that's all gone. It's not "HOT" anymore! Maher's friend and business associate, Chuck LaBella, was also a friend of mine, worked on The Top Hit Show, The Apprentice, as a "gofer" and, because of the success of that show, Number One and Top Rated on many weeks, with the Finale' being among the Top Shows of the Year, he was automatically and quickly brought up through the Ranks of NBC, along with everyone else associated with that Historic "Happening." The Success of the Apprentice was so great that everyone partook — It built many careers, and that is a wonderful thing. Some people say it even built my career, because I became President (I would have won without it!). In any event, over the last few years, LaBella would call me nonstop to say, "Hello," be very nice, and tell me how much Bill Maher "loves" and respects me, and would constantly ask of me, even before I was President, for any form of meeting with Maher and, would I do his show? When I became President, I agreed to meet, after the first one, and the last one, but never agreed to do his show, which he wants me to do, DESPARATELY — It won't happen! When I have watched the show, which isn't often, it always ends with dishonesty, about me at least, but, who cares? He doesn't think it was a good thing to take the Nuclear Weapon away from Iran, which shows you that he is not very smart. If I allowed them to obtain a Nuclear Weapon, the World would be a different place right now! Using Fake Polls, he also said I had my Lowest Ratings so far, "and even the Republican Party doesn't like him," but that's not true. I have High Ratings and, more importantly, he said that I'm losing the support and approval of the Republican Party when, in fact, CNN just came out with a Poll showing that I'm at 98 and 99% support within the Republican Party, an All Time Record High. Ronald Reagan was at 86%. CNN's Harry Enten also said I am "The Most Influential President of the Last Century." CNN did another Poll at who was the Most Popular Person in the History of the Republican Party, and I won that, too, with me being at 53%, Ronald Reagan being at 18%, and Abraham Lincoln being at 8%, and these are CNN Polls, people not exactly in love with me, so, Bill Maher lied, but he lies about everything, and I believe he lied to me when I asked him, with all the applause and laughter he gets after almost everything he says, about things that aren't funny or even any good, what Laughter Machine does he use? People can't think he's funny. I didn't know Bill, he didn't know me, and that was OK. Then Chuck LaBella, and my friend, Kid Rock, called me incessantly about meeting with Bill Maher. My first response was, "Fellas, this guy's a Goofball." They said, "He wants to go down to the White House, be with you, and talk. He said you're very smart, but you're not into the Liberal Platform. Will you start thinking about it?" He invited himself to the White House! We had our first meeting, Bill was very nervous. He asked for a drink. He was very insecure, and he had a seriously bruised eye and nose area, as though somebody had just beaten him up — But it wasn't me!
No sooner had we had that first dinner at the White House, which is a very seductive and beautiful place, especially now that I have fully renovated and fixed it in the style which it deserves, Bill wanted to come back. The Gofer called me multiple times, saying how much Bill loves me, that he respects me more than anybody, and wants to come back for a second meeting. After ten calls from Chuck LaBella, it seemed that these guys were serious, and wanted to learn more, because their Policies are so bad, it's ridiculous! Also, I wanted to tell Bill that he's a major POTHEAD. He's got to stop, it's very bad for his health. He looked like hell this time. Bill was drunk and had alcohol in his hand as he walked through the White House. Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock came along with him. Overall, I thought it was a good meeting. It didn't last four hours, it lasted two hours, maybe less, and everybody was happy. We have the timestamps. I learned nothing, and felt it was a waste of time. After the first dinner, Bill Maher was friendly, I guess, everyone walked away pleased. He gave me a good first show, with lots of Laughing Machine laughter, which is a real term, but it is what it is, and then reverted back to his former self, and his old ways. I understand that. He's doing his thing. I never took it very personally. I would always mock his Low Ratings, whenever I heard. He's not a nice guy, and what he spouts isn't what he believes. He has to cater to his base, which is mostly composed of Losers, and people who don't like working. It's why, for so long, I didn't get another call from Chuck LaBella, and I didn't miss him one bit. After the second dinner, Bill's "show" was far worse than the first. He went crazy! He's gutless, because he enjoyed every minute. Also, I am not building a swimming pool in the White House Briefing Room, and never had any intention of doing so. I am thinking about moving the Press, and putting them in a different location, but I will use that location for very badly needed space. Bill also attacked our Great Republican Candidates, when he knows my Endorsement Record is 98% in the House, and 100% in the Senate, so how can he make a false statement like this? These Statistics are FACTS, and he should speak about them, but he won't, because he is very unfair!
Karoline Leavitt was GREAT on the show, but she started with a biased, dumb SLEAZEBAG, asking questions. She defended me, and herself, so well, but couldn't be comfortable going against Lie after Lie. Importantly, Bill lied about all of the Illegal Voters in the Radical controlled, decrepit, and devastated State of California. Just in the last few days alone, they found 20,000, and the number could easily go to over 1,000,000. There were so many other falsehoods Bill spewed, but I won't waste time in FACT CHECKING him. He isn't worth it. Bill: Don't call anymore. It's useless, and tell Chuck LaBella not to call so much, and say how much you love "TRUMP," and want to get together, because you're a hopeless guy, who is just trying to cater to your small group of "fans." You're also a coward who is afraid to tell the truth about how well our Country is running because of your few "fans," and how badly the Dumocrats have done, almost destroying the U.S.A. If I hadn't won the Election, it would be DEAD! Also, turn your Laugh Machine off, it's a joke when they laugh uncontrollably, even when you say nothing funny, and I'm going to have the Republicans not cover you anymore, because they try to talk about you as a guy who is transformative. You're not transformative, you're a Loser! I never watched your show much, but I will never watch it again, because it is nothing more than FAKE NEWS that America, and the World, is unfortunately subjected to. Yes, Trump has posted some very long and convoluted screeds on Truth Social many times in the past, but this one is way, WAY over the top, even for Trump.
This is the president of the United States going on, and on, and on, using his time to trash Bill Maher and ramble in a disjointed medley of other B.S., none of which is worth dissecting.
